I suspect your charging system can't cope with this much current drain. Drawing more power than than the charging system was designed for could get expensive. I put driving lights on my 500 cc BMW back 35 years ago. Big mistake, I ended up buying a new generator. Even in Germany it cost dearly. Please post if you come up with a workable solution. I would like driving lights on my Savage also.
